AUCKLAND MARKET PRICES. AUCKLAND, Aug. 10. Since last week the chief features in tlie local grain and produce markets have been a hardening in potato values and a further advance in pollard. Tlio later is now at a price that is approaching a prohibitive figure, but merchants report that the position in Australia continues very firm and only limited quantities are available from that source. The local price has advanced and now rules from £lO 10s to £lO 15s per ton. There is no change in tlm price of pollard from local mills, which is obtainable in limited supplies at £7 15s per ton. Bran is plentiful and sells steadily at £6 12s 6d per ton. There is no alteration iii the price of horse feed. Fow. wheat and maize are also unchanged. A sudden rise in the potato market in the south came as a surprise to local merchants. City values have risen in sympathy and white tables are quoted ex store' at £ll a ton, with a 5s premium for rods. _ The promised importation of \ ictorian onions has oased the market for Pukekolie supplies, and those are now obtainable at 17s 6d per cwt.
