BEEKEEPERS MEET.
MANAAVATU ASSOCIATION. The monthly meeting of the Manawatu Beekeepers’ Association was held at Massey College last evening, Mr F. J. Levin presiding. It was reported t])at an apiary site had been allocated by the college to bo used for the purpose of demonstrations, and a committee consisting of Messrs Lewin, J. Dale, and H. F. Dodson was appointed to generally supervise the apiary. Mr Dodson (apiary instructor) gave an address on the grading points of honey and this was followed by a grading competition, several samples of honey being passed round for those present to grade. Mr Dodson stressed the good points and directed attention to the matters to be avoided. A short talk on the new form oh wiring foundation given by Mr AV. G. Short was likewise followed with interest. Gratification was expressed of the growing interest in the new association, which, it was stated, was doing splendid work for the beekeepers of the district.
