LAW REFORM.
COMMITTEE SET UP. (By Telegraph—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 11. The committee to investigate law' reform matters has been set up by the Attorney-General, who stated to-day that it consisted of members of the Supreme Court Bench, the legal profession and the law faculty of the University. The committee was set up at the request of the legal profession as expressed at the Dunedin LawConference and will hold its first meeting before the end of the month. One of the questions to he considered will he the usefulness or otherwise of the Grand Juries. He hopes to make a more detailed statement shortly.
