FOXTON RACING CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING.

(From Our Own Correspondent:.) FOXTON, Aug. 9. The annual moeting of the Foxton Racing Club was presided over by Mr It. Bryant. There was a record attendance of 60 membors present. Prior to. the commencement of business the chairman referred to the deaths of the late Dr E. M. Wyllie, a steward of the club, and Messrs G. Edwards, A. Sexton, F. Burke, J. K. Hornblow, and FI. Simmonds. (Motions of sympathy were passed with the bereaved relatives. Motions of sympathy were also extended to Mossrs C. H. Symons and H. Coley in their illness and the hone expressed for a speedy return to health. The annual report and balance-sheet wore adopted. Mr M. B. Bergin said that the financial position disclosed that the chib had received its fair share of patronage during the past year. Officers for the ensuing year wore elected as follow President, Mr W. E. Barbor; vice-presidents, Messrs S. R. Austin, M. B. Bergin, R. Bryant, and D. R. Ogilvy; stewards, Messrs W. J. Bowo, C. E. Christensen, H. E. Hughes, and A. P. Easton.

Mr G. F. Smith asked that some steps ihould be taken to improve the parking area to enablo cars to leave quickly after the meeting.
