WEDDING.

FOSTER— CHRISTIAN. St. James’s Church, Lower Hutt. was the scene of a pretty wedding recently, when lone Aroha Lilian, daughter of Mrs E. L. Christian, of Fitzherbert Avenue. Palmerston North, and the late Blr E. BV. Christian, was married to John, son of Mr and Blrs T. R. Foster, of Lower Hutt. The ceremony was performed by Rev. H. S. Kenny. The bride, who was escorted by Blr N. Lamont, her brother-in-law, wore a slim-fitting gown of magnolia satin, with box sleeves fitting over the wrist, shirred at the neckline, and trained. Her tulle veil fell from a cluster of gardenias and her bouquet was of carnations, freesias, and cyclamen. 3be bridesmaids. Blisses "Wynne Tomkins (chief) and Betty Bartlett, wore - pale green satin frocks cut on classical lines, with small, flared, stiffened net coats, each finished with a pink spray. Their hats were of stiffened pleated net covered with, pink flowers, and they carried bouquets of pink cyclamen. The flower girl, Cynthia Barker, wore a frock of pink stiffened net over satin, and carried an early Victorian posy to tone with a pink spray in her hair. ' Blr A. Barker was best man, and Blessrs A. and S. Hobbs groomsmen. About fifty guests were entertained at a reception after the ceremony. Blrs J. Foster travelled in a Coronation blue suit trimmed with brown fur, with brown accessories to match.
