SPEEDY MOBILISATION. CANBERRA, Aug. 6. The correspondent of the Sun states that the national security measures in Australia have been advanced by the Commonwealth Defence Council to a stage where in xhe event of war the whole resources of the Commonwealth could ho organised at a minute’s notice. The council has made a complete survey of all aspects of industrial transport and other activities, .and has mapped out a co-ordinated plan to place, the nation on a war footin f in which each section of the people will have its duties clearly defined. The Minister of Defenco (Sir Archdale Parkhill) announced that similar action had been taken by New Zealand following consultations between the Australian and New Zealand Governments last year and also in London recently.
