LONDON MARKETS QUIET. The London butter market was quiet but steady last week, according- to a cable message received by the Primary 1 roducts Marketing Department. Fridays closing quotations, with those for the previous week in parentheses, were as iotNew Zealand.—Salted, 108 s 6d to 109 s (109 s to 110 s; a year ago, 106 sto 108 s); unsalted, 110 s to Ills; a year ago, 107 s to 108 s) „ Australian. —Salted, 106 s to 107 s (107 s io 108?); unsalted, 108 sto 109 s (109 s). Danish.—94s f.0.b.; 115 s spot (945; 115 s). Dutch.—Unsalted. 104 s to 105 s; ex., 107 s (106 s to 107 s). Siberian. —Salted, 105 s to 106?. Ukrainian. —Salted. 105 s to 106?. Polish. —Salted and unsalted, 102 sto 105 s (104 s to 105 s). , A Deliveries of New Zealand butter last week totalled 1841 tons. The quantity in store was 6343 tons, as compared with 4222 tons a year ago. Deliveries of Australian butetr last week were 1228 tons. The quantity in store was 6149 tons, as against 4209 tons' a year ago. The retail price of New Zealand and Danish butter is unchanged at Is 2d a lb. . , , The cheese market was slow last week. Friday’s closing quotations, with those or a week ago in parentheses, were as follow :

New Zealand—White. 72s (745; a year ago, 58s to 595) ; coloured, 71s (735; a year ago, 58s to 595). Australian.—White, 69s to 71s; coloured, 68s to 70s 6d. Canadian.—White and coloured, 78s to 80s (7&s to 80s); c.i.f., 68s (71s). Deliveries of New" Zealand cheese. last week were 21.462 orates. .The quantity in store was 62,922 crates, as compared with 99.446 crates a year ago. The retail price of Now Zealand cheese is unchanged at 9d a lb. Deliveries of Canadian cheese last week wore 3088 boxes. The quantity in store was 59,353 boxes, as compared with 50,188 boxes a year ago.
