TALLOW, HEMP AND PEAS QUIET
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated July 3, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— . Tallow.—Market continues quiet on spot with prices unchanged; fair business done for shipments. Hemp.—Manila; Market dull and easier. Value “K" grade for July-Scptember shipments, £3O 15s. Sisal; Market easier; steadier at the close. July-September shipments sold £27 to £27 15s; August-Oclobcr shipments, £27 10s to £27 12s 6d; OetoberDeccmber shipments, £27 10s to £27 15s. No 1 Now Zealand; Small business done in '“Common” at £26, but further offers at the same price not attractive to buyers. Pca/s.—Maples: Little bettor spot demand; market continues quiet. Small business done in “A” grade Tasmanian at 56s for .JulyAugust shipments. New Zealand: July shipments sold earlier at 545; no further inquiries. Blues: Poor demand.
