MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

YOUTH’S LAPSE. Appearing before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court, today, Sidney Harold Edward Bowyer, a labourer, aged 18, of Bunnytliorpe, pleaded guilty to ia eliarge that on June 20, at Frankton, he did. with intent to defraud, obtain from L. M. Tatton fruit valued at Is, .and 29s in money, by means of a valueless cheque. Detective-Sergeant Meiklcjohn stated that, accused had stolen two cheque forms from the office of his employer at Frankton. He had filled in and cashed one, and said lie had destroyed tlio other. Accused had admitted the offence, and offered to make restitution.

w aiming accused that it was his last chance, as he had been convicted of theft when younger, the Magistrate convicted him and ordered him to come lip for sentence at any time within twelve months if called upon, conditional on his making restitution of the money within a fortnight.
