A cable received by the Civil Aviation Department from Kar/bauk (Burma), signed by Jack Stodder, states: “Have found a wheel of Smith’s Lockheed. Definitely Smithy’s.” The message doee not say whether the wheel is the same as the one found in May in the sea near Moulmein:
