MASONIC CEREMONY.

INVESTITURE OF THE KING. NO AY PAST GRAND MASTER. Received July 1, 1.5 p.m. LONDON. Juno 30. Nine thousand brethren, including visitors from all parts of the Empire, enthusiastically welcomed the King when His Majesty attended a special meeting of the United Grand Lodge of English Freemasons for his investiture as Past Grand Master. It was the first time a King has been present at a Masonic meeting. After his investiture the King was placed on the throne. He thanked the brethren, saying: “It is always a great pleasure to work on behalf of such a cause.”
