'l’lic British Boxing Board of Control announces that it is recognising the Tommy Farr-Alax Schmeling fight: as for the heavyweight world championship because the Schmeling-Louis contest, the final elimination for the world championship, was _ decisively won by Schmeling, whose right it was to meet Braddook, who. by withdrawing, forfeited his claim to the title, hence tho Braddock-Louis fight can be regarded only ns the American championship.
