BASKETBALL.

When Te Kawau challenged the Bush Basketball Association for the Oxley Cup. the match was played at Pahiatua. Bush secured a half-time lead of 8 goals to 3 and eventually beat Te Kawau by 19 to 8. At the conclusion of the game, the president of the Bush Association (Mrs L. T. Russell), in the absence of tlie patron (Dr. H. Paterson) and the donor (Mr G. 0. C. Oxle.v), presented the shield to the winning team, congratulating both sides on their fine performance.

Prior to the main game, the Bush B team beat Te Kawau B by 28 goals to 4.
