KING’S CONGRATULATIONS.

MESSAGE TO ROYAL AIR FORCE

(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 27

After the air pageant at Hendon the King sent the following message to the Secretary of State for Air (Viscount Swinton): —“I heartily congratulate all ranks of the Royal Air Force on the splendid demonstrations of flying given at the Coronation display yesterday. During my long and highlyprized association with the Royal Air Force I have attended many displays, but none that has demonstrated more clearly the efficiency and organising ability of the service. I appreciate the courage and determination with which the Royal Air Force is meeting the heavy demands made upon it. I look forward to seeing something of its daily work from time to time, and in the meantime the Queen and I send to all ranks our best wishes for their welfare.”
