A RUNAWAY CAR.

CRASH. 0 VeSTa BANK. MASTERTON, April 28. A serious motor-car accident occurred about a quarter of & mile from.the Devil's Elbow on the Tararpa rond early this afternoon. Tile car was occupied by Messrs Aaron Tuekett, of Tamui. overseer for the County Council, Alfred Bowring, the driver, nod Allred Hall, rabbiter. Through a cause not yet explained, the motor-car ran down a hill for a distance of forty fest, struck a wirenettihg fence, broke through this and ran down the hill another hundred feet and cupsieed. Tho occupants were found latef unconscious under the cur. Mr Bowring is suffering from broken ribs and injuries to the head, Mr Hall from internal injuries and Mr Tuekett from cuts on the head. Messrs Hail and Bowring were ordered into the Mnsterton Hospital fur treatment.
