TOURING CRICKETERS.
AUSTRALIANS MAY COME TO DOMINION. Per Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, April 2G. At the quarterly meeting of delegates of the New Zealand Cricket Council, Mr J. S. Barrett presiding, it was reported that tho tour of the Victorians would result in a small profit and that there would be a slight refund to tho associations who lmd given guarantees. The profit was about £450, and £250 would be divided among the associations. Mr E. E. Bean, manager of the Victorians, conveyed appreciation of the many kindnesses extended to the team bv the council and the citizens generally. The Dominion, he stated, possessed many promising players and the j
standard of tho game was higher than was usually credited in Australia. The chairman said the arrangements for the tour of Australia next season by a Dominion team were in the hands of the agent in Sydney. There was a possibility of the Australian team to visit England travelling via New Zealand, which would enable them to play four matches in the Dominion.
