The directors of the Y.M.C.A. to-day publish the lir.vt list of subscriptions received towards the effort to raise jClo,(¥>i to erect a building on a site in Willis-street, given by Mrs Williams, The eanva.sx was originated by Mr Budge, of Montreal, and has been very successful. So large a proportion of the Hum required has already been promised that when the canvass ceases on June 7 entire success seems assured. The principal contributions are —Archdeacon Williams (Hmvke's Bay), £1000; Mrs Rhodes, £500 ; A. S, Paterson and Co.. £«><tO ; Mr John Kirkcaldie,Messrs An ken, Wilson and Co., Messrs George and iversly, Messrs Crichton and McKay, t"2s<» each ; Messrs Win. Allan, Win. Campbell, E. B. Brown, S.
