Accidents and Fatalities
Mr Alexander Broadbent met with a serious accident about four miles from Huntcrviile on Tuesday. He was on his way to work on a farm iu Pohonui, and was evidently thrown from his horse. His skull was badly fractured, and he was removed to Wanganui Hos phal in an unconscious and critical condition. Mr Broadbent was lately employed by Mr Stevenson at Bulls.

ROTORUA, May 15. Arthur Hutchison, while out duck shooting on Sunday in tho Waikato river, near Waiotapu, was drowned while attempting to get a duck. Deceased was 21 years of ago An inquest was held to-day, when a vcrdict of accidental death waa returned. Hutchison was lately employed at the Waiotapu Hotel, AUCKLAND, This day. Leslie Arthur Young, aged live, was run over by a cart on Mt. Roskill road this morning. The driver of "the cart was apparently adjusting a sack and did not notice the boy crossing the road until he was almost on him. It was then too late, the wheel passing over the boy's neck and killing him almo.-t instantly.
