Mr Hurry Palmer reports as follows :— Wo had n clearing sa!o of dairy cows, e:c, at Mr "Whibloy's farm last Monday. There was a big attendance r.iid every lino offered brought exceptionally good prices. Seventeen cows sold from .CG us to £9 los, averaging closo on £1, ranptycows .C 2 to JGi, hull.l' 2 10s. steers iiOs. Poultry--Fowls 2s Gd to 3s 3d per pair. On Tuesday last wo held a sale of furniture on account of Mr Barclay, overy lino btiog quitted at satisfactory prices. With regard to our usual Saturday sale we quote : —Pigs wero mostly nl smnll, aud tho demand was not very groat. Trices tanged from :!s to 10s. Oud line of wcmicrj were pissed in at 11s. Poultry—There is no .Iriuand for scrubby or half-grown poultry. Wo er.n plucc readily any quantity of tip top birds ready for table use. We quote prime cocks .'is to 4s per pair, other sorts and hens 2j to 3s, half-grown Is (o Sis per pair, ducks 3s Cd, turkeys 7s 6d to 10s per pair, ge«s<o 5s Cd. Tho sale of Mr Walker's stock was most successful. Messrs Mounsoy and Co. report :— Table potatoes, 6s (5d to 7s Cd per sack ; pig potatoes, 8a per suck ; cockerels 1>- Sd to vis Gd per pair; hens, 2s to 3s per pair ; ducks, 2s 9d to -Is per pair ; onions, Id perlb ; apples, Is6d to 4s pra case ; purebred black Orpington cockerel brought 15s ; eilvcr-lucad 'WyfiMdoUe cockerel, 10s ; Pekin ducks each.
