The Awarua Seat.

(Per Press Association.) Invercargill, July 15. The Hon. J. G. Ward publishes an address to the electors of Awarua in which he stated, " I can be nominated and I will go to the poll. Two of the leading lawyers of the Colony have given it as their opinion that 1 can be legally elected and take my seat in the Honse. Were it not for the faet that I could have provided for all my obligations within reasonable time and therefore ought not to have been forced to insolvency, I might be disposed to take the gratuituous advice of my opponents, but gifts from the Greeks are always dangerous."
