Special Settlement.
The Secretary of the' Foxtoh Associa-' tion has received a letter frotn Mr J. G< Wilson m which that gentleman statei he has had another interview with Mr Wallace the Secretary for the company, Mr Wallace appears to think there is no doubt the company will eventually meet the Association, when come matters between the company and the Govern* ment are settled. The Company has yet .-. to receive a good deal of land from the Government, and the former wish to have this matter decided. Mr Wilson adds : " I gathered there was even some chance of getting that land thatl'spoka. of to him before, There is overy likeli* . hood m a few months of my being able; to report to you that the company will offer some land to the Association." This is very good news indeed, and w« trust our tncmber's anticipation!) may b« realised.— Foxton paper.
