Death from Accident and Exposure.

(united press association.) Chuistcburch, Wednesday. Harry Fehwiek, 68 years of age, was brought to the Christeliurch hopital today, after having undergone an experi ence ot the most terrible description. It appears that about 6 o'clock, while driving a sprinsr cart loaded with piers and fowls along the road from Kaiapoi to the Maori pa, he was capsized into a deep ditch, the cart falling on top of him. His right leg was broken, and he was unable -to extricate himself. He lay m tho ditch pinned down by the vehicle through the whole nieht exposed to tho drenching rain. About 8 o'clock this morning he was found by some Maoris, who took him to liaiapoi, whence he was sent m a trap to Christchurch. At the hospital everything possible was done for lini, but he died from his injuries and the effect of exposure, tonight.
