Aldersonhave been appointed Directors of the Bank of South Australia. . The relations between France and Germany are strained. The motion tabled by Mr flennicker Heatoniu the House of Commons, to the effect that all Colonial forces should be placed under the control of the War Office, and should receive similar rights and privilodges to tho Imperial forces, has been postponed until after the result of the conference m Melbourne on the same question has been mad* known. Dr Ahearn, who want Home to forward the objects of the North Queensland Separation League, intends to lecture shortly on the questions of i separation and black labor.
