Battle at Mandalay.
REVERSE FOR THE BRITISH TROOPS. HEAVY LOSS TN OFFICERS AND MEN. (electric telegraph. — copyright.) (reuter's telegrams.) Calcutta, Dec. 4. Intelligence from Mandalay announces that a large number of Dacoits made a raid upon that j place yesterday. The British troops were taken at a disadvantage, and m the fighting which ensued many British officers and men were killed and wounded.
