Meeting.
A meeting of gentlemen interested m the formation of an entertainment to take place m January next m aid of the vestry fund was held last evening m the vestry of All Saints Church, whan the following : gentlemen were present. Messrs Skerman, Haultain, Haybittle, McKenna, Mitchell and Shortt, with the Key H. S. Copinger m the chair. After discussion and due consideration it was decided the entertainment -snould take the shape of a dratiiatip and musical performance- A' number, of lady and gentlemen members of the church had promised to give their assistance, and it was expected a most successful and enjoyable , evening's amusement would; be provided. The farce f* Cut off with a > shilling;" will be ''given, and a number of vocal and instrumental items rendered,, chief among which will; be two violin solos by a gentleman amateur Df exceptional ability as a Boloist; ballads by ladies who have not yet appeared before the Palmerston public, and specially'prepared glees by the company. Messrs , McKenna Abraham, and a lady amateur take the parts iri'the, farce.
