THE TERAWHITI GOLDFIELDS.
We are pleased to learn from a Wellington paper that cotnmon-s«nue piaetic«l steps are to be at once taken to test the value of the good reports recently circulated about the improving prospects of the Terawhiti goldfield. Arraupeineutß havo been coma to by the Golden Crown and Albion Coiopanies whareby the latter have agreed to let the Albion battery to the Golden Crown Company for n nominal sum, and for a term long enough for the Crown people to oruuh about 3uo tons of lode stuff, The Crown Company are going to ereot the berdana that the Albion Company procured some time ago, and will put the battery into thorough working order. The journal from which we quote says it will watch the experiment with much interest. Nothing but a substantial crushing, well attended an to results, will satisfy the public as to the worth of Terawhiti as a protective goldfield. Precisely the same thing wight be said of Pohangina. i
