The works are now three parts finished, and the bar is much improved. Nkw Plymouth, Wednesday, Mr Dompsoy, of Ashburton, has been appointed head master of the Central School, New Plymouth. Mastgrton, Wednesday, The charge against Baron Molhvo for taking money at tho door of the Theatre on Sunday night was called on m the Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday, and withdrawn 1 under instructions from the Minister of Justice. The Baron was lecturing under the auspices of the Freethought Society. Christchurch, Wednesday, i The case Coyle v. The Queen wa's finished yesterday afternoon. The petitioner, sought £5000 damages from Government. In 1878 he entered into a contract with the Minister for Lands for a large survey, the Government binding itself to the necessary triangulation. Mr Mitchell, who was appointed to do the triangulation, died, and there was delay m appointing a successor. Petitioner was thus put to delay and loss. The Crown agreed to abandon all technical defence. Mr Justice Johnston awarded petitioner £2000 damages, with costs on the highest scale.
