MR SUTTON'S NOMINATION.
(TO THB EDITOR OP THE STANDARD). Sir, — I think there is something m the inquiries made by " Ratepayer " to which 3'ou added some remarks. Sup. posing Mr Sutton were elected, and the Borough wanted some carting done (say the little job that I saw m the Standard Cr Abrahams tried to keep a licensed carter from getting) could Mr Sutton do -a job of the kind without risk of penalty ? I believe also that holding a carter's license might disqualify liim m some way that perhaps is not clear at present, though yon do not appear to think so. You know people must be very careful now-a-days. — I am, &c Another Ratepayer.
