Man Lost m the Bush.
[Correspondent of Taranaki News.] Waitara, April 27. On Saturday evening last a party left here for Inglewood to shoot pigeons, consisting of Messrs Chard, Blinkinsop, and Bates. On their way back, and whea near Lepperton, BHnkinsop and Bates went into the bush, thinking of meeting with better success. After being m the bush for some time, Blinkinsop got separated from his companion. Bates succeeded m making his way out, and after coo-ec-ing for some time they started on their way to Waitara, thinking that Blinkinsop had gone on before them. When they reached their destination they found that Blinkinsop had not returned. They immediately formed a search party consisting of Messrs H. Joll, McKenzie, Chard, and Cameron, and proceeded to search for their lost companion. H. Joll, after getting into the bush some distance, came upon the lost man's tracks, and, after considerable anxiety and trouble, found the man. He had made a fire, and had given himself up for lost. He is, however, none the worse for his adventure. The whole of the party returned at 3 a.m. this morning. Constables Day and Gillespie walked to Lepperton, but happily found on their arrival that Blinkinsop had been found. Great praise, is due to the Messrs Lepper, who lent very valuable assistance to the search -party, and also to several of the residents. Had it not been for the promptitude displayed there is no doubt but that the man would never Have been found alive.
