Canterbury Horse Market.
Messrs Watson and Co. report as follows ;in the horse trade business remains m the same healthy state that it has now done for some' time past, i.e., there are plenty of buyers for the more useful descri ptions of draught and plough horses— whether broken or unbroken — provided the age dous not exceed six or seven years, at fairly satisfactory values. On the whole we report a very satisfactory Hale, at prices upholding recent quotations. In all, about 60 horses were sold ; draught and farm horses, £18 to £25 ; aged sorts, £12 to £15 ; unbroken cart colts and fillies, £12 to £19 ; two-year-old, £7 to £10 10s ; the better class of hack nnd light harness horses, £15 to £19 ; ordinary but useful ditto, £8 to £12 ; weeds, 40a upwards.
