London, April 19. Tho market rate of discount remains at 2£, bank rate 3i per cent. New Zealand securities — 5 per cent. 10-40 loan, 100£, ex div ; 4£ per cent. 1879-1904 loan, l 00 £; 4 per cent, inscribed stock, 965. Colonial breadstuffs— Adelaide wheat, ex store, 38s ; New Zealand ditto, 32s to 375. Adelaide flour, 275. Australian tallow, average qualityBeef, 31s 6d ; mutton, 335. Wool.— The market continues firm. The catalogue at to-day's auction comprised 8000 bales. New Zealand frozen mutton, prime quality, is now realising s£d to 5Jd per lb.
