Detective Hughes and Mounted-Constable Kelly had been hunting for him all yesterday and last night, and this morning they got on his track and pursued him to the vicinity of an old blockhouse about eight miles from here. When they were within 150 yards of him h« disappeared into some scrub, and immediately after they heard a shot fired. They subsequently found him quite dead, with a bullet wound m his head.
