Share Report.

Messrs^ Williamson and Co., sharebrokers of Wellington, report as follows : — Business m the share market during the mouth has been somewhat animated, confined however for the most part to local stocks. Bank, Gas, Manawatu Railway's, Gear Meat, Woollen, and Drug Co.'s have all changed hands; pretty freely, but those mostly preferred, and scarcest, were flourishing financial companies although carrying heavy premiums. N.Z. Loan and Mercantile's, Wellington Trust and Loan's, Wellington Equitable aud Investment Co.'s, N.Z. Land Mortgage, and National Mortgage Agency shares — all were wanted everywhere. Although at this period of the year a good many dividends mature, naturally hardening values, still the present and prospective cheapness of money will unquestionably continue to strengthen stocks all round. Investors may therefore expect to pay yet higher rates for the best clasa of securities and stocks.
