Wellington Markets.
Messrs Laery and Campbell report that there is nothing to complain of m the amount of business transacted during the past week, but as usual at this season of tlae year prices are more or less unsettled, and there are no transactions of any magnitude to report ; m fact importers are shy of buying until prices are somewhat settled, and that cannot be until the harvest is home. Our quotations need hardly be given m cxtenso, as there is not a line on which we could make any alteration except perhaos it might be eggs, and they, timing the past week, hnye been far better at an advance of Id or 2d, but even with those we think our last week's^iuotatioiiH would be the safer of the two. The horse sale was ut satisfactory on Saturday, vendors put! ing far too high a value on their horses, and there were but few of them, if m condition, but had some blemish. Tin re were buyers for. the right sort, wh6 would have given high prices.
