(Continuation of ReportJ Christenseu's application re rdad leading to his section to be considered at next meeting. Mr Buick waited upon the Board and offered to contribute £9 towards certain work on No. 1 Line. Engineer to be instructed to prepare an estimate. . Resolved that a petition be drawn up and presented to Mr Ballance, through Mr Macarthur, asking for some immediate assistance for the purpose of drain- , ing the Kairanga Block. It was decided that m future unsuccessful tenderers will have to call at the office for their deposits. Resolved that m the absence of Warden Edwards the matter of Mr Stace's application re Te Matai road, stand over. 1). McEwen's application to have bridge erected across the drains opposite his property to be referred to the proper authorities. Application b}' Messrs Moore and Carter for slaughtering license granted. Resolved that Mr Sly be authorized to expend the sum of £20 on Hamilton's Line. Resolved that No. 1 Line be formed from the Longhnrn Road towaids Buick's section, viz., about 35 chains, tenders to be called at once, the balance over £9 to be equally divided between Nos. 1 and 6 Wards.
