(UNITED PKESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, Feb. 26. Arrived — Arawata, from Fiji at midnight. Passengers — Eleven saloon for Auckland and Australia. For Southern ports — Messrs Pigtnan, Thompson, J. H. Williams, Master Martelli, Miss Todd, and Captain Marion. Hi r Majesty Ship Miranda called at Fiji on the 16th on her way from Samoa to Sydney. During her brief stay at Fiji none of her officers landed, and as soon as she had taken m coals she proceeded on her course straight for her destination. From the reticence observed, and her speedy despatch, it is infurred that information of considerable ' importance concerning the state of affairs at Samoa is m possession of those m command of the vessel, which it is desirable to keep secret meanwhile, and to have forwarded as early as possible to the Imperial authorities. Sabald, a Kanaka, was charged with attempted murder on the Auckland Schooner Agnes McDonald. He was found guilty on the count of committing grevious bodily harm, and recommended to mercy on account of the punishment the prisoner had already received at the hands of the captain and ciew. He was sentenced to the nominal imprisonment of one week. A quantity of wreckage has come ashore at Vamia, Levu. It included a : bucket-rack of a large vessel, bearing the words " Nil dosperandum auspice deo."
