The sentence were as follows : — John Anderson and Peter Smith, makers of the illicit whiskey, six months' imprisonment'; George Moss, hotelkeeper, Woodville, convicted of supplying material to work the : still, was fined .£200; Bourke, brewer, Hawera , convicted of carrying the whiskey, was fined- i-200 ; Thomas Lloyd, hotel-keeper Hawora, convicted of having illicit whiskey m his possession, was fined All the fines were paid.
