MESSRS BARNS AND HTGGIE'S STOCK SALE REPORT. Prices of stock, speaking generally remain unchanged from late quotations— but still shew au upward tendency. Beef if anything is a little easier, sheep about the same. Pigs somewhat lower, and horses very hard to place at satisfactory prices. ' Cattle— Fat cows realized £3 10s, £4 5s 6d, and £4 7s ; 2£ to 3-yr-old steers, good condition, £4 Is; 2 and 2£-yr heifers, £2 10s to £2 17s ; mixed yearlings, mostly heifers, 34s to 36s ; ojd cowa, £2 3s 6d to £2 11s. I Sheep— Good fat wethers, 10s ; fat ewes, 8s 6d. ■ Pigs— Good porker^ 18s, 225, and 29s j, , fat pigs, 35s to 37s 6d. Horses — Not much demand. We sold a few hacks at from £3 to £8. ,
