Oratorio Paradise.
The above was given m the Foresters' Hall last evening by the Wesleyan choir under the conductorship of Mr Hartley. The first and second seats were well filled, the back seats not being quite so crowd; ed, and the audience gave frequent evidence of their appreciation of the efforts of those engaged m rendering this somewhat difficult musical production—perhaps the most difficult yet attempted m Palmerston. The various solos, duets, &c were rendered with great taste, each inits turn receiving the acknowledgements of the audience. There is. no doubt the Wesleyan choir have achieved great success m the rendering of. difficult music, which is creditable alike to the members and the conductor. Miss Jessie Mowlein presided at the harnionium, and fulfiEed a difficult task m a skilful manner, playing with great taste and accuracy. It is needless to say that Herr Nor berg was perfect as violinist. T. he great success achieved will no doubt lead the Wesleyan choir on to still greater efforts which we trust will bo as fully appreciated as those of last evening.
