Manawatu Road Board.

Messrs, Hirst, Bermiester, and Voss re state *of properties on Kairangtf-Buhny-thorpe maio road through bad drainage. Warden Sly quite endorsed the deputation's remarks' Ve the necessity of doing something at once m this matter. =A canoe was used by the settlers for some time m moving from one property to another. • The Board offered to expend a sum of £30 m drainage if the settlers would advance the same amount to be expended on drains on sections 1603 to 1595. Mr, Jensen re property flooded through overflow 6£. river. (Mr IS.i Gt West acted as interpreter) . .Mr Armstrong was instructed to look 'over the property and report at next meeting. Messrs G. W. Th« road to Lucinsky'a property to be repaired and metalled at a cost of £6 if the settlers pay £2 towards that amount. Mr Stevenson, Bunnythorpe Road, re metalling road. The-deputation was informed that as this road is under the Doads and BridgesJ Construction Act, this Board is therefore not m a position to deal with it. (Only £75 to come to this road under the Act.) - Mr Rogers, Kairanga, re plans proposed road advertised to be constructed. Mr Skennan re metalling road. The Board decided to determine the cost and call tenders for the work before next meeting. ' ■
