A meeting of the Committee was lheld on Saturday eveuing at the <CoMiruercial Hotel" Present: Messrs 3.. King (m the chair), T. King, Pratt, Leigh, Cayerhill, and J. C. •Nathan. , Minutes read ,^nd confirmed and correspondence dealt with. Captain Walkers resignation ' received and acceptpu with regret. Resolyjedr-That'Mr f. E. Wafcoii bo elected a member of the Commit- *■*• r; ■ '7' ■'■ . Resolved— That the training lee be one guinea por'year for each horse ; year to commence ira Ist September m •ach year, tickets to be obtained from Secretary without which no horse will be admitted on the 00111*86. Resolved— That a notice be placed on the gate calling the attention of trainers and horse-owners to training ground, Rule No. 5, (Wanganui 3 ,C.) and stating that same. will be strictly enforced. ' Pesolved— That Mr Parkes be al'•^^wed as remuneration the sum of rWtefor each training fee received ; one half to be. paid at conclusion of sum : ' mer meeting and balance at end of season; said sum to be forfeited if horses are known to be admitted m course without a ticket. Resolved— That members privileges be sanve as Wanganui rules. Resolved — That complementary tickets be issued as follows :—Manawattj Standard, Times, Advocate, Star, Herald Wanganui Herald and Chronicle, Examiner, and Messrs Evett, Napier, and Higgte and Rotheram, Wanganui. Resolved-— That training tickets be iasuedfvom present date, and that a notification be published imforming training of the course being open. Resolved— That Mr Walton's services aa Secretary be dispensed with, and that he bo paid three months salary m, lieu of notice; and that the Chairman! be instructed to inform him to that effect; further that applications for the position of secretary be at once invited. . .
