Stevens & Gorton's Report.
Over 120 head of cattle came forward at our sale at Feilding.on Sept. • 30th. The attendance was good, and bidding for beef and all classes of steers spirited, and \ve< quitted the aevural lots at the following satisfactory prices : — Beef, XI lVto £8 5s f fat cows, £6 ss; 3-year-old steeiv, .£4 19s; 2 td 3-year steers, £'5 10s ; 2year steers, £2 12s ;18 month mixed, 355; yearlings, 30s to 32s 6d; store cows, 35s to 375; iniloh covvs, £4 10s. \ At Sanson, on October 3, we yarded over 75 head of cattle and 140 hoggets. The attendance was very good, and the demand for . hoggets greatly exceeded the numbers offered, for which there was spirited bidding. The following are the rates' idealized : — lßf month mixed cattle (chiefly heifers), 345; weaners, mixed, 17s; 2-year steers were passed m at £3 10s; wethor hoggets, 8s to 9d 9d ; mixed' hoggets, 8s 6d;
