Wellington Meat Company
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, August 20. The report of the Wellington Meat Export Company shows that the net profits for the year were £1514 6s 9d, after writing off £156 6s 9d (balance of preliminary expenses). The remainder will be carried forward. The prinoipal cause which prevented larger profits was heavy storage expenses incurred on meat intended for the Trinmpb. Directors could not recommend a dividend, on account of anticipated losses on ventures by the Ruapehu and Florida.
