MR FREEMAN R. JACKSON'S FORTNIGHTLY STOCK. REPORT.
The sales during the past fortnight hare passed off with spirit, all lots offered meeting a ready Hale at improved values. At Waverley every Hue sold under the hammer, after brisk competition. At the yards today sheep were well competed for, and the beef sold at an increase of Is 6d the lOOlbs. I have inquiries for store cattle and wethers, nnd shall be glad to hoar of any lines for sales at present quotations. : — Cattle.— At the yards to-day : Fat cows, L 3 13s 6d to L 5.175;. 175; steers (small), TA; milch cows, L 4 10s to L 5; woaners, 203. Sheep. — Fat ewes, 11s 6d to 12s 8d ; lambs, 0s to 8s ; ewes and wethers, (stores), 9s. Pigs. — At full values : Baconers, 31» to 4ls; porkers, 17s to 235; stores, 9s 6d. Horses. — No demand. T sold about one half that offered at current rates.
