(Herald Correspondent..} Tatjpo, June 2. A sworn information was lodged thi* niorniug 1 before Inspector Scannell, R.M., against one of the publi cans for allowing gambling m his licenced house on the 28th IVLay, between the hours of ten and two. It is stated that some of the police are implicated m this matter, one being a non-commissioned officer. The hearing takes place on the 9rh in*t., when it is rumoured, some startling disclosures will be made by the informant re the loose manner m which some of the hotels are conducted, likewise the apparent want of discipline among the police m Taupo.
