Land Sharking.
- An exchange says: — "Mr James •Tyson the largest cattle and station .holder m the world, is now visiting -New Zealand. He is computed to •own- over one million cattle, scattered over Queensland, Victoria, and New 'Wales. He is m this colony with the object of purchasing more land." Land grabbing has been pursued so diligently however, that he is not likely to ptu chase much. It reminds w» of the days when the Hon. W. Robinson came over to Nelson, and showing the then impecunious Pro. vincial Government £10,000 cash for investment, obtained the pick of the country. It is now known as the County of Cheviot, m which he is the only ratepayer, Road Board and County Council, rating himself and making all his own roads ! What a happy state to be m.
