Spiritualism.
Intelligence reached us (Wellington paper) from the Waiwrapa district that spiritualism is advancing •with rapid strides m the Valley. Numerous private circles have for some months been formed m the district, and it m stated that the manifestations, more particularly m Grey,town and its immediate neighborhood, recently have been very remarkable. Many of the residents of the Wairarapa district nighily devote themselves to the earnest inquiry of this fascinating subject, and m many instances the results are all that can be desired. Even sceptics acknowledge that the prosecution of the inquiry has led to good results, for now it is asserted that the hotels and billiatd rooms are quite deserted by young raen who heretofore frequented them, but -who at present are devoting theniBelves to an investigation of the matter.
