Youthful Wanderers.
No small excitement prevailed amongst the residents of Terrace End on Saturday afternoon, caused by the prolonged absence of two small boys from their homes, a son of Mrs Linton's aged about six aud one of Mrs Harvey's about eight years old. Search parties were soon scouring the district high and low, but for some considerable lime no trace whatever could be found of the truants. At last, however, one of the parties going up the, i ail way line about two miles was told that two youngsters, answering 1 to their description, had passed up the line about three o'clock m the afteraoon. The party proceeded as far as Bunny thorpe, and waited a short time for the 8.30 train, hoping to find them sent back from Feilding. On the arrival of the train, a passenger informed them that the boys had been conveyed from Bunnythorpe to Feilding by the up train from Paliuersron, and taken on to Mr Chamberlain's by a relative of one of the boys who resides at Feilding. Both Mrs Linton and Mrs Harvey started off yesterday morning to Feilding to bring back their children, and met almost half way Mr Chamberlain, who was conveying them home. The boys state that some pewon took them into the train at a station (Bunnythovpe), aud at Feildiug sent them to Mr Chamberlain's. When seen at Bunnythovpe they were feasting themselves on bran from some open sneks lying* at the station.. The fathers of the two boys, strauge to say, are both away iv Australia.
