• Horses: A very large number have been brought forward. The 'competition wa* steady throughout, and horses of a good stamp were quickly competed for, Running up to £22 for : ; hacks and -light harness horses; trom £16 5s to^ 125 formedmm draughts, - jWool, ; hides, and skins: An average quantity of hides offered,, but the quality was indifferent, ahd 2d was rh^ highest price given. We quote skins from Is 3d to 3s 6d each ; wool, m bags, 4|d per lb. Cattle: The supply was- unexpectedly large. Fat beasts receded slightly m value, but other descriptions were unaltered m that respect. The Newmarket yards were Well - filled. Dairy cows were at the previous week's values. Good steers had an upward'- tefidenov] and for heifers prices, were m favour of vendor. 22s 6d per lOOlbs w as the top price for beef, while inftrbr: was' relatively lower.
