HEROIC CONDUCT OF A PRIEST. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Thames, Feb. 27. The Rev. Father Boyle narrowly es» caped drowning on Saturday. . Going, on duty to Owharoa his horse was swept away, and he had to swim across the Waitate river. He regained his horse on the other side, but on returning on Sunday he again lost his horse, two coats, nearly £30, and had a narrow escape with his life. He walked to JPaeroa m his shirt sleeves. At a hut be* tween Waihi and Owaroa he was refused shelter because he was a Catholic Priaat.
